December 1 Weekly Updates and Information
Published on Dec 1, 2018 09:49
On Sunday December 2nd, we began the season of Advent. Advent is a very important time in our faith as we begin a new liturgical year and prepare for the coming of Jesus. The Advent wreath is a symbol of our waiting. As each week passes, we light another candle as we prepare our hearts for the birth of Jesus. A deliberate observance of Advent prepares us for a richer experience of Christmas.
Our board theme this year focuses on the importance of being an active symbol of the faith and mission we profess – our efforts to support those less fortunate are one such way we can be living symbols of our belief as Catholics.
On behalf of the staff of St. Charles Catholic School, I would like to wish you all an Advent season full of hope, love, joy and peace.

Christmas Cheer
With the Christmas season fast approaching, we would like to spread our generosity and support to families who are in need. We will be collecting gently used coats, snow pants, hats, mittens and scarves for both children and adults through a Coat Drive. We will also be collecting new and unwrapped toys, books and/or games through a Toy Drive. Please send any of these items to school with your child to support our Coat Drive and Toy Drive this Christmas season. Our final day of collecting items will be Friday, December 14th, 2018.
Thank you so much for your generosity. As a school community, together we can help families in need this Christmas.
