December 8 Weekly Updates and Information

In the second week of Advent, we light the first two candles of our Advent wreath. We await the coming of our Lord Jesus and light the way to see the face of God. We follow the light of God with faith and hope.
God of light, bring us faith.
Help us to find faith this Advent.
Help us to prepare for the coming of the Lord.
We make this prayer in the name of Jesus your Son,

Christmas Baking Fundraiser
No time to bake this Christmas? We have the solution for you, for all your Christmas gatherings, potlucks, hostess gifts or just a tasty treat for you and your family. Click the link below to read all about our next fundraiser. Forms will be coming home Monday and orders and payment are due back to school on Friday December 14.

Christmas Cheer
With the Christmas season fast approaching, we would like to spread our generosity and support to families who are in need. We will be collecting gently used coats, snow pants, hats, mittens and scarves for both children and adults through a Coat Drive. We will also be collecting new and unwrapped toys, books and/or games through a Toy Drive. Please send any of these items to school with your child to support our Coat Drive and Toy Drive this Christmas season. Our final day of collecting items will be Friday, December 14th, 2018.
Thank you so much for your generosity. As a school community, together we can help families in need this Christmas.
Catholic School Community Council
Thank you to everyone who came to our meeting on November 28th. Items discussed included a principal’s report, the chair’s report, a treasurer’s report, parish report and a fundraising committee report. We also discussed some of our upcoming school and charitable events such as Coats for Kids, Christmas Toy Drive, the December Mass and our school’s Christmas Concert.
Our next meeting is scheduled for January 31st, at 6:00 p.m. in the school library. We hope to see you there. Please note you can access all CSCC meeting minutes on the school website.
Christmas Concert
There is nothing like a concert to put everyone in the mood for Christmas! Please join us on December 19th at 6:30 pm in our gym for the sounds of Christmas! School front doors will open at 6pm. Students are asked to arrive at 6:00 pm and go to their classes to prepare for the event.
Due to seating limitations, we respectfully ask no more than 3 audience members per family. Families are welcomed to park at the Danube Centre.
