Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome back to another exciting year at St. Charles Catholic School!  I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer with your families. The staff of St. Charles has been hard at work getting ready for September 4 and preparing a warm and inviting learning environment for all of our students.

Thank you to all of our teachers, ECEs and EAs who have been preparing their classrooms, to our custodian Mr. Lukan for ensuring that our school is fresh and sparkling and ready for our students, and to Mrs. Clouthier for setting up our office for the upcoming school year and getting us into tip top shape!

First Day of School:

The first day of school for all students SK – Gr. 8 is Tuesday September 4.  All students in Gr.1 - 8 will gather on the pavement to the south of the school (the primary tarmac) grouped according to grade.  There will be balloons indicating where each grade will gather together. Our Year 2 (SK) students will gather in the Kindergarten yard.  Once the bell rings, teachers will proceed as a class into the school. In the event of rain, this process will take place in the school gym.

Parking:

In order to keep our students safe, a reminder to all parents that the north parking lot is open before school for parents of Kindergarten students only.   We respectfully ask that all other parents drop off students along the east side of Simcoe Road and students can then walk onto school property.   There is also a lay-by in front of the school that holds 3-4 vehicles. Parking is permitted on the east side of Simcoe Rd. at the beginning and end of the day to allow for safe drop-off and pick up.

We continue to strongly encourage all students to take the bus transportation provided them to help lessen congestion along Simcoe Road.  

School Day Schedule:

I hope this summer was filled with wonderful memories, laughter and many blessings!  We at St. Charles are looking forward to another wonderful year together and eagerly look forward to September 4!
