Old Man Winter held onto us for another week, we are truly hopeful that the warmer days are now upon us in order to see the promise and beauty of God’s creation.

Spring Fundraiser
Our spring fundraiser will soon begin, please keep your eye out for the Big Box of Birthday Cards coming before Easter.
60% of funds raised will go towards supporting student learning both in and out of the classroom (e.g. technology) and 40% of funds raised will go towards the chapel in our new school building.

Gr. 8 Graduation, Sibling and Spring Photos
Order forms have gone home for sibling and Gr. 8 graduation photos. Please note that forms must be returned to school the day the photos are taken - April 11.
School Yearbooks
We are selling yearbooks at St. Charles again this year! Within each yearbook you will find students’ individual photos and photos from special events in each class and in the school. You will also find team and club photos. Yearbooks will sell for $25 each.
Yearbook Order Forms were sent home Friday, orders can be placed both online or through the school; cash or cheque are accepted. Please make cheques payable to St.Charles School. The deadline to order is Friday May 3rd, late orders cannot be accepted.
Last year’s yearbook is available in the office if you would like to see a sample.
Dress Code Reminders:
The warmer weather will soon be upon us. Students are reminded to school dressed for the weather and dressed appropriately, following our school dress code as outlined in the student agendas. If you are in doubt about an article of clothing, then your child should not wear it to school. Thank you for supporting our efforts to promote a safe, positive and respectful environment.
School-to-Home Communication
Beginning in September 2019 our Board will be using a new notification system to help us communicate more effectively and efficiently with families. This new system will enable us to send notifications to parents and guardians using email, voicemail and text messaging. The notifications received by families could include school updates (example monthly newsletter), important board information (example summer school registration is open) or emergency notifications (example school lockdown).
The success of this system depends upon our board having the most up-to-date "School to Home" contact information on file, which includes a primary email address and cell phone number. To this end, we are asking every family in our board to complete this brief online form to ensure that we have the most current information entered into our student information system for the purpose of school to home communication. You will need your child's school email address to complete the form (your child should know this as they require it to login to their google account at school). Please take a brief moment to complete the information in this School to Home Communication Form. If you have any questions, please contact the school directly.
