Vaping Information Session
On May 29, South Simcoe Police and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit will be putting on a free information session on E-cigarettes (vaping) This is open to parents of all Grade 7/8 students. This is a growing concern and it is estimated that approximately 75% of
high school students are now vaping.

EQAO
Students in grades 3 & 6 will participate in the provincial assessment of reading, writing and mathematics. If your child is in grade 3 or 6 please do not plan any appointments or absences from May 21 – June 3, as this is the assessment writing window.
Fall Fundraiser Purchases
Thanks to all of your wonderful efforts in selling chocolate bars we raised enough money to fulfil all of CSCC’s annual commitments and purchase 2 new projectors and 2 document cameras. These items have arrived and will help augment learning for our students - thank you!
Dress Code Reminders
The warmer weather will soon be upon us. Please remember to ensure that your child comes to school dressed for the weather and dressed appropriately, following our school dress code as outlined in the student agendas. Also, don’t forget to apply sunscreen before school and encourage your child to drink plenty of water throughout the day! If you are in doubt about an article of clothing, then your child should not wear it to school. Please ensure that children are dressed for success! Thank you for supporting our efforts to promote a safe, positive and respectful environment.
Moving?
If you are planning to move out of the area, we would very much like to be aware of your plans so we can make adjustments to our enrolment projections for the 2019 - 2020 school year. Alternatively, if you know of a family who is moving into our catchment area, please ask them to call us as soon as possible so we can assist them through the school registration process. Being aware of students coming and going greatly reduces the possibility of school reorganization early in the school year. Please call the school to share information.
